Academics
Cobras Rise Up!
As a small, community high school, Whites Creek offers a positive, supportive environment that puts the focus on students' needs.
Our students belong to distinguished, nationally recognized model career academies: Ninth Grade Academy; the Academy of Alternative Energy, Sustainability, and Logistics; and the Academy of Community Health and Law. All students begin in the Freshman Academy. As sophomores, students may choose one of our pathways, including: Alternative Energy and Engineering Community Health Law.
In addition to our academies, WCHS offers academic enrichment through Advanced Placement courses. Through a variety of dual enrollment and dual credit opportunities, our students earn more college credits than any other school within our district.
Early College offers opportunity to earn associate degree
Announced in 2021, Whites Creek now offers the Early College partnership between MNPS and Nashville State Community College. The four-year grant allows for up to 40 students to obtain college credits toward an associate degree at no cost while fulfilling requirements for a high school diploma. Students also have access to peer mentoring and workshops through this innovative program.
To ensure our student are well-rounded, we offer athletics, clubs and programs, including Student Government Association, Freshman Seminar, Senior Capstone, Critical Thinking, and Band.
